A poor collection of bands
I’ve just been having a look at the lineup for this year’s Leeds festival and I can’t believe how bad it is.
On the Friday I’d like to see Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins and Turbonegro. This is from about 50 bands. What makes it worse is, that’s the best day! On the Saturday there’s 2 decent bands and on the Sunday another 3 (including the very good Arcade fire). I really don’t know how it is possible to book so many bands and almost entirely forget to book good ones. Smashing Pumpkins aren’t even going to have the lovely Melissa Auf der Maur playing bass (at least that’s what I read).

Okay my list of who I want to see is:
Friday: Smashing Pumpkins, NIN, Fall Out Boy, Funeral For A Friend
Saturday: Razorlight (If I had to)
Sunday: RHCP, Biffy Clyro.
So, not really worth the WHAT £145?!!!!!!! F&^k That!
I’ll stay at home and watch the highlights.
£145!!!!! Yeah right!
Much rather Glastonbury with Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, The Fratellis, Bloc Party, The Magic Numbers, Amy Winehouse, The Killers, The Kooks, Paul Weller, The Who,
Kaiser Chiefs, James Morrison, Bjork, Iggy and the Stooges, The Chemical Brothers, Mika, Gus Gus, Damien Rice, Hothouse Flowers, Nick Lowe, London Community Gospel Choir, Fat Boy Slim, Asian Dub Foundation Sound System, The Saw Doctors
and the freakin’ Wurzels!!!
as well as about 900 million other bands and performance artists. Sigh…
Next year… There’s always next year!
Not Funeral for a f***ing friend! Fall out boy? Why?! I don’t like most of those in your Glasonbury list but at least there’s Iggy and the Stooges (when I saw Iggy Pop it was before he got back with the Stooges).
